This Apple Praline Bread has a special place in my heart. Every time I make it, it brings memories from when I was a new Mom about 25 years ago. I had a sweet neighbor named Elaine, who was not only an experienced Mom, with several young children, but she was also so kind, patient and loving to them. I really admired her. She shared this wonderful treat at a neighborhood gathering and I LOVED it along with everyone else there. A couple of months later I was planning a family brunch for my second son TJ’s baby blessing and wanted to serve this delicious bread as part of the menu. I called Elaine and asked if she would share the recipe, which she did but she also offered to make it for my gathering. And sure enough, the morning of the family brunch she came over with this beautiful, delicious Apple Praline Bread. I will never forget her kindness. It makes this recipe that much sweeter for me!

As the leaves begin to change colors and the air turns crisp, it’s the perfect time to bake something with fall flavors. What better way to embrace the Fall season than with a slice of warm, homemade Apple Praline Bread? This recipe combines the sweetness of apples with the rich, nutty flavors of praline, making it the ultimate autumn treat.

Here is the bread fresh out of the oven and ready for the praline topping!

The praline topping is simply butter and brown sugar that you bring to a boil until it is a thick rich sauce that you pour over the warm bread. Sooo yummy!

With a blend of sweet apples and nutty praline topping, this Apple Praline Bread really is the quintessential fall treat. Whether you’re baking it for a special family gathering or as a gift for a friend, it’s sure to be a hit. The warm spices and comforting aroma will make your home smell incredible. So, embrace the season and savor every bite of this heavenly bread!

Oh wow. This looks amazing. I don’t know how this recipe slipped through the cracks for me. I’ve never made it, but I’m sure that Mel gave it to me too when I got married. I will definitely have to make it… SOON. It looks divine.

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
