Happy (almost) Thanksgiving everyone!

Do you need some Thanksgiving menu ideas to make your game plan and create a shopping list?
I thought I would share some of my favorite recipes to help with your planning!  Since the turkey is the star of the show, let’s start there!

Perfect Roast Turkey

Turkey:    My favorite method creates a Perfect Roast Turkey

And if you’re using a turkey breast I LOVE this Brined Turkey recipe.

This is truly the BEST and easiest Cranberry Sauce. It comes together in 15 minutes total and is a bazillion times better than the canned stuff. Once you try it you will never go back! And it also tastes amazing on your turkey sandwich, swirled into your oatmeal or yogurt, YUM!

Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes

Favorite sides:

Incredible Make Ahead Mashed Potatoes (they really are the BEST and so convenient to have all readybefore hand),  Celebration Salad ( super easy and perfect for a crowd),  Green Beans with Walnuts and Nutmeg, lots more salads and side dish ideas here

My Mom’s Classic Dressing/ Stuffing is the BEST!

Raspberry Buitter

Rolls: Buttermilk Rolls Knotted Potato Rolls, or my Grandmas Roll Recipe are my favorites (this is a post on how to shape them with links to the recipe and our roll section if you want to try a different roll recipe–we have lots of good ones!)

Flavored Butter:  I love making Raspberry butter to offer with my rolls on Thanksgiving.

Banana Caramel Cream Pie

Desserts:  We have TONS of fabulous Pies here.  I am making a  Apple  Cranberry Pie Deluxe, the Banofee (caramel banana) and this heavenly Pumpkin Cream Trifle  that I have made for years and is a family favorite.

Pumpkin Cream Trifle

Hope your holiday is wonderful! Happy cooking!

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
