We had leftover Hershey Kisses from our Christmas treats so of course the boys and I HAD to make my Mom’s peanut blossoms.  These delicious cookies are one of our family favorites. This is my Mom’s recipe and it always turns out perfectly! These cookies are such a hit in our house! I have one boy unwrapping kisses, one mixing the batter, one rolling the dough into balls and everyone jumps in to help squish the kisses onto the hot cookies. They are so fun to make…and eat! These cookies will be our Family Home Evening treat tonight! There is something about the crispy cracked peanut butter cookies warm out the of the oven with a melty chocolate kiss in the center. Divine!

  • butter
  • peanut butter
  • sugar (white and brown)
  • egg
  • vanilla

I love those cookies but don't really care for peanut butter..I know, Boo! Can I just leave it out? Or do you have a separate sugar cookie or regular cookie dough recipe?

I love these straight out of the oven when the chocolate is still gooey. In fact if any of them survives the first few hours, I usually put them in the microwave for 9-10 seconds to slightly melt the hershey kiss again. 🙂

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
