Ingredients

Scale

½ c. sugar
½ c. firmly packed brown sugar
½ c. butter, room temperature
½ c. creamy peanut butter
1 tsp vanilla
1 egg
1 ½ c. flour
½ tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
30 mini sized Snickers candy bars (about one bag)

Instructions

In large bowl, combine sugar, brown sugar, butter, and peanut butter.

Add vanilla and egg. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt and add to peanut butter mixture.

Shape dough smoothly around each candy bar, making sure the bar is completely covered, without having a lot of excess dough.

Place on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350°, check at 12 minutes, and take out when they are slightly golden.

Cool a minute or so and remove from cookie sheets. Delicious served warm.

    Hi Jasmin,
If you don’t like peanut butter cookies, then just make regular chocolate chip cookies but instead of adding the chocolate chips, hide the snickers inside. This is similar to what we did with these two recipes:
    https://www.thesisterscafe.com/2011/09/oreo-stuffed-chocolate-chip-cookies and https://www.thesisterscafe.com/2011/11/brownie-stuffed-chocolate-chip-cookies

Here are two other great recipes for chocolate chip cookie dough – https://www.thesisterscafe.com/2010/09/lauras-best-chocolate-chip-cookies
    https://www.thesisterscafe.com/2011/03/secrets-to-the-perfect-chocolate-chip-cookie

You can use any of these recipes for a basic cookie dough. You can leave the chocolate chips in, if you want to, although I would probably opt to leave them out if you’ll be hiding a Snickers inside the cookies. Then you can wrap the dough around your snickers and try it that way. Happy Baking!

Can I make this recipe without the peanut butter. I’m not a big fan. However, I love the Snickers cookie idea.

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
