Aloha Honey Roasted Macadamia Butter

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 4 tsp coconut oil melted
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp sea salt
  • 2 cups macadamia nuts (if using salted omit salt from recipe )

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350F
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a medium bowl, stir together the honey, melted coconut oil, cinnamon and salt. Then add the macadamia nuts and toss to coat them well with honey-coconut oil mixture.
  4. Spread nuts on a lined baking sheet in a single layer. Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and roasted. Keep an eye on the oven to make sure they don’t burn. Remove from the oven. Let them cool a little.
  5. Transfer roasted nuts to food processor or high speed blender and process until smooth. You should get a very smooth butter in less than 5 minutes. Transfer into an airtight container and store in the pantry or the fridge.
  6. Great on toast, drizzled on yogurt and fruit, smoothie bowls, oatmeal, sliced bananas…or anything you can think of!
