Are you ready for the big night?  My boys are so excited they can’t wait!  We are carving pumpkins after school and then we will be off to our friends home for chili and trick or treating together.  I love this silly holiday!  It is such fun!
Last week we made these super easy No Bake Halloween Ghost and Witch Hat Cookies and I thought I would share them with you as a last minute Halloween treat OR save the idea for next year!  These little ghosts and witch hats are adorable and so fun to make and you don’t even need to turn on your oven.

Get the tip and bag here for the frosting or get a premade tube here (check your grocery store).

I hope you have a very HAPPY HALLOWEEN my friends!!

Description

Super cute no bake witch hat and ghost cookies that will delight your little ones for Halloween.

Ingredients

Scale

Ghosts:

  • 1 package of Nutter Butter Cookies
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips or white candy melts
  • mini chocolate chips

Witch Hats:

  • 1 package of fudge stripe cookies
  • 1 package of hershey kisses
  • 1 tube of orange frosting (or make our own and pipe)

Instructions

Ghost Cookies:

  1. Melt the chocolate according to package directions.  I used candy melts from the craft store and melted them using the microwave at 50% power for 1 minute and then 20 second intervals, stiring after each one.
  2. Dip the Nutter Butters in the white chocolate.  I like to leave the bottom bare–it reminds me of the cute ghosts that come trick or treating with their tennis shoes sticking out:)  Be sure to shake of excess by tapping the cookie on the side of the bowl and scraping the bottom too.
  3. Lay on a cookie sheet lined with a silpat or sheet of wax paper.  Apply 2 mini chocolate chips for the eyes while the chocolate is still wet.  Allow to dry and set.  ENJOY:)

Witch Hats:

  1. Turn the fudge stripe cookie upside down.  Take an unwrapped kiss and apply a dap of frosting.  Attach to to the cookie.  Take your orange frosting and pipe a ribbon around the kiss.  Viola–you are done!  ENJOY:)

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
