One of our sweet and thoughtful readers shared this recipe with us in the comments for the Chewy Ginger Snap cookie recipe.  She said it was fantastic dip for ginger snaps…and boy was she RIGHT!  This really is such a fun dip for this time of year.  I think it would make a great addition to the Thanksgiving dessert table.  In case you didn’t want a whole piece of pumpkin pie–you could still enjoy a taste with this yummy dip!  Along with ginger snap cookies, I have found that sliced apples, graham crackers, pretzels and vanilla wafers are wonderful with this dip.  Make this for your next fall gathering and I guarantee it will be a hit! I also love that this pumpkin pie dip does not have cool whip in it! I am not sure about that stuff, I prefer more whole ingredients.

Oh yum! I’ll bet it is good between cake layers like JessicaMc suggested. Can’t wait to try that! 🙂

Yum! I have a pumpkin pie dip recipe I love but I usually just go the easy way and serve with apples or graham crackers. I love your idea to serve this up with homemade chewy ginger snap cookies! I’ll have to take the time to do that next time.

Yay! I am so glad you liked this recipe. It is a must have on our Thanksgiving table every year. I am going to have to try this recipe the way JessicaMc suggested. They both sound fabulous.

This is also really good used as a filling between layers of a spice cake!

I actually have these old Pampered Chef pans called flan pans, I think they might also be known as tiara cake pans. I made the spice cake in the flan pans then topped them with this pumpkin dip and a little whipped cream on top, it was a big hit with my family & friends. My sister-in-law has used it as just a filling in a 2-tier spice cake, though, and it was just as good!

Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
