Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats

Alright, here is the promised Instant Pot Steel Cut Oats Post recipe! I LOVE steel cut oats, but rarely have the extra time to make them in the morning, since they require about 30-40 minutes of cooking time and need to be stirred quite often.  That is why the Instant Pot is SO perfect for cooking Steel Cut oats.  I can throw water (or almond milk) and oats into the Instant Pot and

I meant to share the recipe sooner , but every time I made them, we would gobble them up before I could remember to snap a picture.  So, I am sorry that I took so long to share this recipe with you...but it is worth the wait!  These scones are soooo delicious!

Nutella Swirled Banana Bread

Did you know that a jar of Nutella is sold every 2.5 seconds?! And that approximately 1.35 million pounds of Nutella are produced every day!!  Crazy, right?  While this Nutella Banana Bread was baking, I got a little curious about Nutella and here is what I learned ... It all started with a chocolate shortage during World War II. When chocolate was rationed it became a rare, pricey commodity so

I was bringing a dinner to a friend who was moving (into my neighborhood--yeah!!) a couple of weeks ago and made my trusty  and always delicious Breadstick with Garlic Cheese recipe to go with this Slow Cooker Ham and Potato soup. Tribute to my sweet Mom

I developed my love of cooking at an early age “helping” my Mom bake cookies, make dinner, and knead bread. She had quite the well of patience! She is the one that taught me about measurements, leavening agents, egg-washes, the basic white sauce, and numerous other mysteries of the kitchen!  I cherish the memories I have of learning to cook at her side. Thank you Mom! You instilled in me a respect for work as well as a joy in creating delicious things. I love you! xoxo
